INAI’s goal in the domain is to develop new AI based technology/solutions that will make it possible to provide quality healthcare to EVERY citizen and also address the ever increasing Non-Communicable disease burden in India.



The main aim of this project is to deploy faster & better method for COVID testing as well as develop risk stratification algorithms.

Stroke Rehabilitation

This research project aims to develop a comprehensive framework for treatment of stroke of upper extremity by combining computational modeling, movement behavior and gaming.

Deep Learning in Nephropathology

The project focus on developing tools that help in the identification and characterization of glomeruli in health and disease. This work will involve segmentation and classification of glomeruli and feature extraction to quantify structural changes in glomeruli.

Medical Visual Question Answering system

This project aims to develop a VQA system for medical domain combining Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision to address some of these issues in the context of pathological images and radiological image.

Developing Deep Learning Models for Various Cancer Prediction Tasks

This research project aims to develop deep learning computational models for various cancer prediction tasks, subtyping, staging/grading and prognostic prediction using images and genomics data.

Deep Learning for Automated Detection of Neuropsychiatric Disorders

This research project aims at using resting state functional magnetic resonance images (rsfMRI) for classifying typically developing children from children with developmental disorders such as the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Characterization (Prediction) of Healthy Ageing from Neuroimaging Data

In this project we aim at attempting the deep learning techniques for age classification (young, middle and old ages) using resting state functional MRI (rsfMRI) data.
